Job Description The project management office is one of several enabling services that sit within AZ IT Guadalajara, to deliver cost-effective and repeatable services to application maintenance and development functions within AZ. The Senior Project Manager will work with other Project Managers, Project Support Officers, Scrum Masters, and work closely with the Delivery teams, owning and delivering Project Management activities, facilitating and handholding the development teams through the maintenance/development functions within AZ, ensuring that they conform to agreed time, cost, and Quality and revenue specifications and escalate any major issues to the appropriate Stakeholder. Accountabilities Use knowledge and expertise to lead team resources across a diversified portfolio to ensure project delivery as per the defined methodology Good understanding of the Infrastructure domain and can partner with the stakeholder to provide solutions Gather and analyze feedback and diagnose areas of improvement & align the employees to appropriate development plans Closely monitor teams' allocation periodically and reach out to business stakeholders on leveraging them to different projects ensuring continuous allocation of resources to projects Work collaboratively with the leadership team to ensure periodic reporting, adhoc requests, and commitment to project objectives Drive improvements in processes, especially in portfolio and finance areas Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change Remain on the forefront of emerging industry practices & induct Agile processes where applicable Monitor Shifts, leaves, training, certification, and general queries raised by team members Productively manage conflict and agreement on project teams/portfolios. Develop outlines for big-ticket program approaches, detailed plans, cost budgets, and time lines that support the Delivery teams in developing to requirements and assist them in meeting relevant stakeholder needs Ensure that an assigned project is appropriately constructed with well-defined deliverables and work streams and that these are delivered in the timeframe and to the cost budget as agreed with stakeholders Identify, assess, and escalate risks to the success of the project, raising awareness of risks in a timely manner to ensure cost-effective and prompt resolution of issues in strict adherence to agreed Risk Management methods Monitor costs, timescales, resources used, and the performance of team members taking action where these deviate from agreed levels and tolerances and ensuring that stakeholders are provided with status reports as agreed Record and deliver stakeholder’s quality expectations of the project and the constituent deliverables, ensuring that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained and that stakeholders and team members all understand, are committed to, and deliver to those expectations Ensure that projects are formally closed and that end of project and lessons learned reviews are completed to ensure that lessons learned are captured and passed to the relevant forum for action. Requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent spoken and written English language skills Proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience working in globally distributed teams. Excellent Team Player, with experience in working with cross-cultural teams Recent and relevant experience of at least 5 years of project management/Scrum Manager with a track record of delivering to required standards Hands-on experience in preparing Planning artifacts (Project Management Document, Configuration Management plan, Quality Management Plan, Project Schedule, Resource Plan, Training Plan, Communication Plan, Risk & issue Management Plan) Tracking artifacts (MSP, Activity Tracking Sheet, Defects Logs) Exposure to Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) / Root Cause Analysis / Ishikawa Diagrams / Pareto Analysis Good working knowledge on Microsoft Project Plan Good understanding and working knowledge of SSD processes Good Understanding of Commercial IT Demand Management Process ServiceNow Project Management Knowledge Process Oriented Desirable Jira/Confluence Agile Methodologies SAFe Certifications Business Agility Mindset Experience working in a shared service environment Experience working in a Life Science Company Understanding / high-level exposure to Function Point Analysis When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we ignite ambitious thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
